Social enterprise for health and wellbeing - remote and rural communities as service co-producers
02 December 2010
- Highlands, Scotland
On Thursday 16th December, Dr Sarah-Anne Munoz (Centre for Rural Health, UHI Millennium Institute) will be guest speaker at the Highland Public Health Network Education Meeting.
The talk will draw on findings from the O4O (Older People for Older People) project that worked with communities to create social enterprises for older people's services. It will discuss learning from the project about the realities of co-production with small, rural communities; the positive and negative impacts of policy on the development of community social enterprises; and the results of a survey of over 55s in Highland that examined the links between health, wellbeing and participation.
