Older People for Older People: O4O is about helping older people to remain living healthily and happily in their own homes and communities for as long as possible. This can be achieved by utilising the skills and experience of older people to establish social enterprise projects to meet the needs of other older people.

The toolkit, developed by the Crichton Centre for Research in Health and Social Issues at the University of Glasgow in Dumfries, has been designed as a set of step-by-step instructions to help communities set up these projects (O4Os). It covers all aspects of starting up a social enterprise including:

· Funding
· Sources of advice and support
· Relevant legislation
· Policies and procedures
· Sustainability

The toolkit is filled with useful contacts and signposting to additional sources of assistance.
